Birds That Come and Visit Me 2015-Present
I am not a bird watcher. I did not go looking for these creatures. After relocating from Los Angeles to a semi-rural
area in Ventura County, I spent a lot of time alone. I began to notice the daily patterns and habits of birds that
visited my garden daily. These paintings are an exercise in noticing and documenting ordinary daily occurrences.
Each bird came and went around the same time of day, each had their favorite places to land. The paintings
became a way to identify and catalog the birds.
